IT Helpdesk Specialist required to support a Provincial Government Agency client’s desktop hardware and software environment.

Reponsibilities

  • Provide primary support and assistance to agency’s staff with their questions and problems related to hardware, software, and mobile devices
  • Provide assistance with issues that have been escalated to second level support
  • Will be deploying and tracking hardware
  • Installing software and software upgrades as required
  • Maintain Go-Remote and PKI accounts
  • Responding to branch requests and liaise with vendors for hardware service requests
  • Participate in improving performance and service quality


Qualifications

  • 3 years’ experience working in a PC Support capacity in a network environment
  • The following certified training is preferred:
    • MCSA: Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate  – Windows 10 Certification
    • MTA: Microsoft Technology Associate  – Windows Operating System Fundamentals
    • CompTIA A+ Certification
  • Practical knowledge of computer technology, operating systems, hardware, related peripherals, printers in an Ethernet, TCP/IP networked environment
  • Practical knowledge of desktop software including but not limited to, Microsoft Office products, Project, Visio, McAfee, IBM Client Access and Adobe products
  • Knowledge of Windows 7 and  10 operating systems is required
  • Progressive trouble-shooting skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
  • The ability to interact appropriately and professionally with all levels of staff
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively both individually and in a team environment
